Meet Mikayla
Hi, I’m Mikayla Barnick - a wedding and portrait photographer based in Fargo, ND, serving clients across the Midwest and beyond. I specialize in capturing timeless, heartfelt imagery that feels as beautiful as the moments themselves - whether it’s a senior stepping confidently into a new season, a couple exchanging vows, or a family celebrating life’s most meaningful milestones.
I’m currently pursuing degrees in Marketing and Finance at Concordia College, where I’ll graduate in May 2026. Outside of photography, you’ll often find me exploring new destinations (ten countries so far this year), enjoying time at the lake, or spending time with family and friends.

I enjoy photography because it allows you to capture and preserve a moment a way that nothing else can. It is candid, real, and one of the most beautiful ways to hold onto memories. One quote that I found during my time living in Italy that portrays this well is: "Photography allows you to capture the richness of the world and bring it back home, wherever that may be."

What To Expect
From the moment you inquire to the day you receive your final gallery, I’m here to make your photography experience smooth, stress-free, and genuinely fun. We’ll start with getting to know each other - I’ll ask about your vision, style, and any details that matter most to you. On session day, I’ll guide you through natural poses while also leaving space for candid, in-between moments. My goal is to make you feel comfortable, confident, and seen. After our session, I’ll carefully edit your images to reflect the emotion and beauty of your story, and deliver a gallery full of photos you’ll be proud to hang on your walls and hold onto forever.
